| Combined efforts yield holiday entertainment

One of the common complaints about Prineville is that there's nothing to do.
Nothing could be further from the truth this holiday season. The Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce has spearheaded a series of holiday events that should provided entertainment for even the most Grinch-like people.
Rides on the Emily Shay locomotive, ice sculpting, and a Christmas tree lighting are just some of the events set to take place - not to mention the annual Christmas parade.
It is our hope that Crook County residents will take advantage of these offerings and appreciate the hard work that went into making them happen.
In addition to providing a service to this community, it should serve as a reminder to people that as much as we support our local businesses, they, in turn, give back to us.
We commend the Chamber of Commerce and the many other sponsors and individuals who have worked to make these events a reality. Their efforts truly showcase the best of this place we call home.
