The Crook County 4-H club traveled to the State Fair last month and brought back a bevy of awards again this year.
A Grand Champion award was earned by Taylor Danforth for Hampshire, February Gilt (Swine), along with several Reserve Champion awards that went to Kimber Duncan for Hampshire, February Gilt (Swine), Ashley Johnson for Duroc, January Gilt (Swine), Leyla Estes for Food Preservation, Camille Cole, Carlie Severson and Emily Peterson for Ceramics, Chad Howard and Brandon Glass for Leathercraft and Emily Fulton for Dog Obedience.
Champion and blue ribbons were also won in public speaking, ceramics, leather craft, educational displays, fiber arts, clothing and textiles, crocheting, foods and nutrition, plants and animals, sheep, swine and dairy.
Complete results can be found in the Sept. 12 edition of the Central Oregonian.
