This week the Crook County Fairgrounds have been taken over by Beaver Coach enthusiasts who gather every year to show off their large recreational vehicles, socialize and look at the newest lines of vehicles offered by Beaver dealers.
Previous year's events have been held in Bend at the Beaver factory, which was purchased by Monaco Coach Corporation last year, but the growing size of the event necessitated the move to a larger venue.
Event coordinator Frank Ballantyne said the company has tentatively agreed to return for the next two years.
While at the rally, participants gather every night at 5 p.m. for cocktails and have a common meal at 6 p.m. Every night has a different theme, which was the 50s on Wednesday, evidenced by poodle skirts, slicked back hair and 50s music coming from the large tent in the middle of the gathering.
