Mark William Kingham

June 23, 1959 - May 14, 2013

Mark William Kingham, 53, passed away May 14, 2013, at his home in Prineville, Ore. A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at his home. Tanya Caudle will be officiating.

Mark was born on June 23, 1959, to Marion and Esther Kingham in Portland, Ore. He graduated from Crook County High School in 1975. Mark began working during high school for Les Schwab Tires, and then he farmed with George Russell. After that, he found his dream job, logging. He worked for Chic Burgess, Jayco, and B and S Logging. He also worked at Clear Pine Mouldings for a short time. He retired from his job of 20 years at Consolidated Pine.

Mark was very entertaining and that is what he did best. He loved all of his friends and family coming out to the ranch, “The Pink Muddy.” He enjoyed barbecues and listening to loud music, of which he knew everything about. He would often turn the song down and ask us all who wrote it, who sang it, or who the lead guitarist was. He really looked forward every year to elk season. Elk season with the guys was something he thoroughly enjoyed, along with keeping his freezer full. Mark loved being outdoors and working on his property. Mark was so funny, loving, kind, gentle, and forgiving. He will be greatly missed.

Mark is survived by his companion, Tanya Caudle; his daughter, Paige Kingham; his sisters, Karen Kingham, Theresa Norris, and Cheri Marino; his step-children, Patty Bates, Rachelle Slack, Craig Caudle, and Steven Caudle; along with his lifelong friend George Russell.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marion and Esther Kingham; and brother Marion “Skip” Kingham, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in Mark Kingham’s name through Whispering Pines Funeral Home, 185 N.E. Fourth St., Prineville, OR 97754.
