Gary Leon Williams, 46, of Mitchell, passed away Feb. 22, 2010.

Gary was born on Dec. 8, 1963, in Prineville, to Billy Lee and Helen (Dupes) Williams. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1983.
After high school, Gary joined the U.S. Navy. He attended training and became a hull technician, achieving First Class during his career.
Gary retired from the Navy in 2006, after completing 20 years of service. Upon retiring from the military, Gary became a corrections officer for the Oregon Department of Corrections, assigned to Deer Ridge Correctional Institute in Madras.
Gary married Doriana Combi on March 16, 1991, in Los Angeles County, Calif.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gun collecting, coaching high school basketball, and spending time with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Doriana Williams; daughter, Josephine Williams; sons, Jacob and Justin Williams, of Mitchell; sister, Kimberly Stafford, of Bonney Lake, Wash.; father, Billy Williams of Mitchell; mother, Helen Williams of Lebanon, Ore.; stepmother, Emily Williams of Mitchell; and one grandson.

The family has entrusted Whispering Pines Funeral Home with the arrangements.
