Duane Sylvan Morgan, a Prineville resident passed away on Saturday, April 20 in Prineville. He was 71.
Duane was born in Prineville, Ore. on May 20, 1941 to Mick and June Morgan. He attended and graduated from Crook County High School in 1959.
He owned his own long haul trucking company through the late 70s and 80s. Then, he worked for Valley Express for many years. He loved travelling all over the country.
Duane was an avid outdoorsman, antique collector, and family man. He will be greatly missed.
Duane is survived by his children, Christina Lyle of Sun City, Ariz., Tosha Montgomery of Kennewick, Wash., Bob Morgan of Prineville, Ore., Curtis Morgan of Prineville, Ore., and Theresa Wilson of Prineville, Ore.; sisters, Gloria Buckhister of Rifle, Colo., Mary Berg of Troutdale, Ore.; brother, John Morgan of Prineville, Ore.; and sister Sally Altig of Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Duane at Prineville Funeral Home, 199 NE 10th Street Prineville, OR on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 12:30 p.m.
