Florence Lois Teuscher, passed away peacefully on Jan. 31, 2012, at Avalon Care Center in Pasco, Wash.
She was born in Laura, Okla., on Aug. 6, 1927 to parents Virgil and Eula Ray.
Lois spent most of her early life in Oklahoma, and spent her high school years in Hood River, Ore., where she finished her education.
She married Roy Moore in 1945; they made their home in Prineville. Roy passed away on June 19, 1972.
In 1973, Lois met and married, Roger Teuscher and they remained in Prineville until his passing on Dec. 16, 2001. Roger and Lois were in the trucking business the first few years, and later sold used vehicles they had restored. Prineville was her home for more than 60 years. Lois loved to garden, and she truly had a green thumb; if she stuck it in the ground...it was going to grow! She also loved to fish, hunt, crochet, and do art work. Lois also had a way with animals. She rescued many a stray cat or dog and no matter how wild, they soon became her loyal friends. She is survived by her son, Frank Moore and wife Pat of Hood River, Ore., and a daughter, Debra Fite and husband Marley Fite of Caldwell, Idaho. She has five grandchildren, Shawna Russell, Aaron Moore, Colby Fite, Casey Fite, and Marlissa Fite, six great-grandchildren, Brandon, Olivia, Meridith, Isaac, Cayden, and Carson. She is also survived by her sisters Patsy Zinn of Prineville, Sharon Faletti of Richland, Wash., and her brother Joe Ray of Springfield, Ore. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Eula Ray, her brother Bill, and two loving husbands, Roy Moore and Roger Teuscher. There will be a viewing for family and friends on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Center, 9353 W Clearwater Ave., Kennewick, Wash. Interment of her ashes and a memorial service will be held in Prineville in the spring.
