Marie Myrtle Cornwall, 72, of Redmond, Ore., died peacefully at her home with her husband, Jerry, at her side on Friday, March 5, 2010.
Services for Marie will be held on Friday, March 12 at 1 p.m. at the Redmond Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop Mitch Wilcox will officiate. Private burial will be at Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville, Oregon.
Marie was born in Bend, Oregon April 30, 1937 to Chester and Ruth (Surface) Nordstrom.
After graduation from Crook County High school in 1955. Marie worked for several local businesses and was a homemaker. Marie lived in Central Oregon calling Prineville, Madras, Bend and Redmond home throughout her life.
Two daughters were born during her first marriage to Bill Sandstrom, Paula Marie (Jerry) Curlin of Portland, Oregon and Carol Ann Sandstrom.
Marie married the love of her life; Jerry Lee Cornwall on July 3, 1976. They were married 33 years.
Marie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts and enjoyed doing community service. She was a joy to all those who were associated with her.
She is survived by her mother, Ruth; husband, Jerry; daughters, Paula and Carol; brother, Jerry (MaryLou) Nordstrom of Troutdale, Ore.; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
