Mary Hintz

Mary Barbara Hintz passed away April 12, 2008 at 96 years old.
   A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Prineville, Ore. Pastor Stan Hoobing will officiate. A graveside service will be held at Juniper Haven Cemetery Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 1 p.m.
   Mary graduated from high school at Riverside High School in Milwaukee, Wis., class of 1929. She then worked for her father in the hotel/restaurant business for several years. Later she went to work for Sherwin Williams Paint Co., in Gimbel's Department store in Milwaukee until her retirement in 1976. Mary then moved to Prineville to be closer to her daughter, JoAnne Larson. She worked at Buy-Rite Drug in Prineville for 10 years. She was a Pink Lady at the nursing home and she volunteered at the Senior Center. She helped with the quilters at the Lutheran Church.
   Mary loved to garden, and was a member of the Garden club. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law JoAnne and James Larson of Prineville, Ore.; daughter-in-law Suzanne Hintz of Northbrook, Ill.; granddaughters Kristin Larson of Bend, Ore.; Katie Larson of Prineville, Ore.; Kathryn Hintz of Minot, ND; and grandson Tim Hintz of Brookline, Mass.; and six great-grandchildren.
   Mary was preceded in death by her husband Otto and one son Kenneth.
   Memorial contributions may be made to Our Saviors Lutheran Church 695 NW Third Street Prineville, Oregon 97754.
