Marilyn JoAnn LaFarge, 77 of Prineville, passed away Nov. 24, 2011. In accordance with her wishes no service will be held.
Marilyn (Seelie) was born March 13, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio to Raymond and Vivian (Castle) Seelie. She graduated from high school in Milwaukie, Ore. in 1952. After school, Marilyn married her lifetime partner, Jerry LaFarge on Dec. 18, 1954 in Oregon City, Ore. then followed her husband during his Navy career to San Diego, Calf. After her husband left the Navy they moved to the Willamette Valley in 1956 and resided in several towns before finally settling in Prineville in 1996.
Marilyn enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, bowling and spending time with her family and friends.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Jerry LaFarge of Prineville; daughter, Leslie Goben of Happy Valley, Ore.; son, Stan Lafarge of Keizer, Ore.; son, Gary LaFarge of Donald, Ore.; daughters, Laurie Pack of Aurora, Ore. and Lynell Waldorn of Wallowa, Ore.; sister, Dr. Catherine Seelie-Fields of Mass.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Vivian Seelie and brother, Max Seelie.
Whispering Pines Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
