Kathleen Flora Fisher, a Mitchell resident, passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, 2006 at St. Charles Medical Center, in Bend, Oregon. She was 75 years old. A celebration of life/potluck will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Antonia Ballroom, 221 N. Grant St. Canby, Oregon, across from Fishers Old Fashion Meats. Kathleen was born in Scappoose, Ore., on August 1, 1931 to Domenico Joe and Barbara (Helms) Amie. She was educated through the 12th grade. She spent most of her life in Portland. She married David L. Fisher on October 19, 1950, in Stevenson, Wash. She worked for Fred Meyer for 41 years in the Portland area. After retiring in 1993 she worked at the Family Business Meat Market until 1998 when they moved to Mitchell. Kathleen enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. Kathleen is survived by her husband David Fisher of Mitchell, Ore.; her son David L. Fisher Jr., and his wife Susie of Mitchell, Ore.; her brother Dom Amie of Molalla, Ore.; son-in-law Raymond Mirenda, two grandchildren, Heather and Justin Mirenda, all of Milwaukie, Oregon and by her beloved dog, Sadie.
