Richard Martin

Richard Ernest Martin, a Prineville resident passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Prineville, Oregon. He was 49 years old.
   Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Prineville Church of Christ. Reverend Del Towell will be officiating.
   Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Highland Cemetery in Sheridan, Ore.
   Viewing will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006 at Prineville Funeral Home. Richard was born in Prineville on June 20, 1957 to Fred and Evelyn (Lady) Martin. He was educated and graduated from Crook County High in 1975. Richard worked as a bartender.
   Richard attended the Prineville Church of Christ. He helped at the church as an usher and volunteer custodian. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, photography, and sitting in the park and socializing with friends.
   He is survived by his mother Evelyn Martin of Prineville, sisters: Mildred Hunt of Cottage Grove, Shirley and her husband Mike Thompson of Kennewick, Wash., and Cheryl and her husband Marty Steenson of Sandy, Ore.; four nephews, three nieces, and two great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Martin, in 1997 in Prineville.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Pioneer Memorial Hospice, American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are in the care of the Prineville Funeral Home.
