Dessie Gall


   Dessie Lorraine Gall passed away in her home October 17, 2006.
   An Irish Wake will be held in memory of Dessie at 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006.
   This will be held at her home, 570 NE Belknap Street , Prineville, Ore.
   Dessie was born February 6, 1930 to Andy Layton and Goldie (Davis) Devlin in Aumsville, Ore.
   She attended school in Lebanon and Portland, she played the drums for the Portland Junior Symphony Orchestra in her high school years. She became an ordained minister and did custodial work during her life.
   She moved to Prineville from Coos Bay, Ore., in 1970 and she resided here until her death.
   Dessie loved writing poems and stories.
   She also loved the outdoors, fishing, woodworking, painting, quilting, and doing puppet shows for vacation Bible school, she became a reborn Christian in the late 1960's.
   She also enjoyed being with her family.
   Dessie is survived by: her brother Leonard Devlin and family of four of Portland, Ore; six children, Terrance Gall Anna Bently and Penny Campbell, Jimmy Gall, Arthur Gall; and Mona Allen; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, mostly of Prineville, and others scattered throughout the states.
   Dessie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
   Her wishes were that there be no services.
   These arrangements are under the direction of Whispering Pines Funeral Home.
