Norm’s Xtreme Fitness, located at 120 N.W. 3rd St., would like to announce that they are now a Silver and Fit participating fitness facility. Silver and Fit is designed specifically to help older adults achieve better health through regular exercise and health education. U.S. Bank and American Red Cross have announced a new partnership that will provide disaster preparedness funding, opportunities for customer contributions, and increased employee volunteer opportunities.

U.S. Bank has made a commitment of $250,000 to the Red Cross to help prepare for vital disaster services. In addition, local customers can contribute at designated U.S. Bank ATMs when disaster strikes their community or region. They will also work closely with the Red Cross throughout the year to provide opportunities for employees to donate blood and volunteer time to the charity.

The Rotary Club of Crook County and Horizon Broadcasting will be hosting their annual Dollars for Scholars Radiothon on Monday, April 1. This is the annual fundraiser to benefit local Crook County High School graduates in their pursuit of a higher education. You can tune in at 690 AM and 96.9 FM KRCO, who contributes the airtime for the Radiothon. Jim Schoebel, Dave Clemens, local Rotary Club of Crook County members, and a few surprise guests will the your on-air personalities for the day.

The event runs from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and broadcast live from the Bowman Museum Building where they will be playing song requests and reading local businesses advertisements who have contributed to the Rotary Scholarship Fund.
