Sen. Wyden to receive fire season briefing in Bend

Senator Ron Wyden will receive a forest fire season briefing from federal natural resource officials at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Deschutes National Forest Headquarters in Bend.

At last count, Oregon was nearing a record for amount of acres burned this year with some fires in Central Oregon still burning. Wyden is a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
