Ochoco Plaza welcomes new business

Heidi and Jeremy Wood have opened Prineville Kids Stop, located inside the Sears store in the Ochoco Plaza. Heidi and Jeremy took over the Sears store in July and made the decision that Prineville needed a local place to shop for their children. They offer newborn, infant, toddler, girls 4-16, and boys 4–18. They are also the Crook County Cowboys and Cowgirls apparel fan headquarters, offering all sizes, large selection, and great prices to show your CC athletes that you support them. They also carry Sketchers shoes and more. They can be reached at 541-447-5411 • “What’s Brewing?” will be held on Wednesday, Nov., 7, from 7 to 8 a.m., at Meadow Lakes Restaurant. This week’s speaker will be Phil Stenbeck, Crook County Community Development Department, who will be speaking on “Land Use Planning to Protect Wildlife Habitat and Landowners.” Breakfast is available. • The Veteran’s Day Parade will be held at 11 a.m., on Sunday, Nov. 11. Participants will assemble on Northwest Fourth Street by the Vet’s Club at 10:30 a.m., then proceed on Fourth Street to the Ochoco Creek Park Veterans’ Memorial, where there will be a short ceremony to honor all Veterans, future and past, with emcee Jack Collier.
