Donna Jean Kebler

Donna Jean Kebler, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 8, 2012, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Donna was born on Oct. 20, 1935 in?Valley City, Mont. to John and Hazel Nelson. She spent most of her childhood in Mill City, Ore.
Donna graduated valedictorian of her high school class. Donna married Norman Whitney in 1955, and they moved with their two sons to three Rivers, Calif. from Weaverville,?Calif. in 1966.
Donna made lifelong friends in Three Rivers in the more than 30 years she resided there. Donna lost Norman in 1980. In 1985, at the age of 50, Donna graduated from the University of San Franciso with her Bacheolr’s degree — an accomplishment she was very proud of. Donna was employed at Sequoia National Park in Human?Resources for 30 years before retiring in 1995.
Donna married Charles “Chuck” Kebler in 1985. Doanna and Chuck relocated to Prineville in 2000 and enjoyed retirement there.
After Chuck’s passing in 2005, Donna returned to Tulare County to be near her children and grandchildren. Donna enjoyed activities and gatherings with her family, who were her pride and joy. She enjoyed playing card games, and winning most of the time. She loved to watch sports, especially baseball and NASCAR. She enjoyed a family debate, too.
Although she was ill, she enjoyed her last months surrounded by her family.
Donna is survived by son, Aaron?Whitney and wife, Nancy of Tulare, son, Gary Whitney and wife, Tania of Three Rivers, Calif.; step-daughter, Kathy Britten and husband, Larry of Visalia, stepdaughter, Kim Sayti and husband, Mike of Washington; step-son, Rob Kebler and wife, Jenni of?Washington; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Whitney; second husband, Chuck Kebler; brother, John Nelson; sister, Norma Burkhart; and step-son, Randy Kebler.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 12, 2012 at Three Rivers Baptist Church, 42013 Eggers Dr. in Three Rivers,?Calif.
