Yvonne Annitte Smith

Yvonne Annitte Smith, 65, passed away Nov. 17, 2012, in Prairie City, Ore. No services will be held at this time.

Yvonne was born March 27, 1947, in Hood River, Ore., to Richard and Joann (Fink) Smith. She attended school in Bates, Austin, Prairie City, and Condon, Ore., as well as an all-girls Catholic school in Lake Oswego, Ore.

On May 31, 1975, she married the love of her life, Ronald Smith Sr., in Las Vegas, Nev. They then moved to Prairie City, Ore. from California in 1977.

She worked in various places such as, LD’s Market and The Branding Iron in Prairie City, where she cooked and managed these restaurants.

Her hobbies included, going to the mountains, camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Yvonne was always a loving and caring person.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Ron Smith Sr., of Prairie City, Ore.; sons, Dennis Smith, Scott and wife, Shelly Smith, all of Palm Dale, Calif., Matt Elwood of Marsing, Idaho, and Ronald Smith II and wife, Christy of Spring Creek, Nev.; daughter, Joanna (Smith) and husband, Jerry Butler of Prairie City, Ore.; and two sisters, Aletha and husband, Tom Pfeifer of Prairie City, Ore., and Lilly and husband, Bob Gorman of Puyallup, Wash.; she is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother Winnie Smith, two sisters, Gail and April Smith, and a son, Asa Smith.
