W. Dale ThompsonJanuary 03, 2013 W. “Dale” Thompson, 73, died December 23, 2012 in Prineville, Oregon. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 2-4 pm at the Elks Lodge # 1814. Dale was born February 15, 1939 to William “Red” and Thelma (Lattimer) Thompson in Oakley, Idaho. Dale attended school at Crook County High School and graduated in 1957. He was an Eagle Scout and excelled in high school sports. He was in Key Club, band, and Boys League. He attended Willamette University. Dale worked at Montgomery Wards Tires, Les Schwab Tires and also owned and operated Bob’s Flowers and Gifts for many years. For 35 years Dale was a member of BPOE Elks club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, yardsaling, collecting John Wayne memorabilia and other collectibles, watching western movies and sports. He loved spending time with his family most of all. Dale is survived by his 5 children Candice and husband Brent Belveal; Janice and husband John DeBrie; Timothy and wife Telina Thompson; Kerri and husband Chris Noeldner; and Matthew Thompson. Brothers; George and wife Jill Thompson and Von and wife Cathy Thompson. 10 grandchildren Adam; Jessica; Brian: Samantha; Cody; Miranda: Joey: Malorie: Ellison: and Parker. 1 great-granddaughter Alexis. Dale was also survived by his beloved longtime girlfriend Shirley Jean McCullough, and former wives Nancy (Alander) Harder and Pat (Wilczak) Baker. He is preceded in death by his parents Red and Thelma Thompson and 2 grandsons.
