Prineville resident involved in rollover, cited for DUII

On Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at approximately 12:54 a.m., a Crook County Deputy was patrolling in the area of Southeast Juniper Canyon Road at approximately MP 1 when he located what appeared to be a vehicle that had slid off the road. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the white 2004 Dodge pickup had been involved in a crash and had rolled.

Upon making contact with the driver, Mark Douglas Liggett age 36 of Prineville, it was determined that he was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was uninjured.

The investigation into the cause of the crash determined that Liggett had been traveling southbound on Southeast Juniper Canyon Road when he lost control of the vehicle on the snow and ice covered road, crashed through a road sign, and rolled the truck one time.

Additionally, Liggett was arrested on a single count of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Liggett was transported to the Crook County Jail where he was cited and released.
