Storm blows by CowboysSummit uses strong second half to take 67-51 victory over CCHSJanuary 21, 2013 Behind 23 points by Nick Moyer, the Summit Storm rolled to a 67-51 home victory over the Crook County Cowboys Friday night. The Storm jumped out to a 25-16 lead at the end of the first quarter, led by 12 points from Moyer. The Cowboys played a strong second quarter, outscoring the Storm 17-12 in the period to close to within 37-33 at halftime. However, that was as close as the Cowboys would get. Summit used a stifling defense to hold Crook County to just 18 second-half points as the Storm (7-7) pulled away for the easy win. Troy Benton and Preston Washechek scored 18 and 16 points respectively for the Cowboys. Dillon Dees added eight points, but no other Cowboys scored more than four points in the contest. Cade Cattell, Ben Ritchey, and Quinn Rasmussen joined Moyer in double-figures for the Storm with 10 points each. After starting the season with a 5-1 record, the Cowboys, who have been decimated with injuries, have dropped seven of their last eight contests and fallen to 6-8 on the year.
