Virginia Lee Petersen

Virginia Lee Petersen, 75, passed away Jan. 15, 2013, at her home in Spray, Ore. There will be no services held at this time.

Virginia was born April 29, 1937, in Kuna, Idaho, to Daniel and Helen (Dailey) Reynolds. She attended school in Kuna, Idaho. After graduation, she entered the U.S. Army for almost two years and then married Bob Petersen, before getting out of the Army. She then started a family and was a housewife and mother until her family was grown. She worked for the Umatilla National Forest for 15 years, at which time she retired.

Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

Virginia is survived by four daughters, Diane Petersen and Jean Petersen both of Spray, Ore., Gail Petersen of Milton Freewater, Ore., and Fay Liedkie of Leweston, Idaho; four sisters, Lula Belle Reynolds of Gooding, Idaho, Helen Pike of Phoenix, Ariz., Katherine Riley of Kuna, Idaho, and Dora Payne of Kuna, Idaho; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers ,and 3 sisters.
