Jason Duane Beitz, 32, of Prineville, Ore., passed away on Jan. 16, 2013.

Family and friends will be gathering with pastor Matt Huff to honor his life at 9902 SW Riggs Road in Powell Butte, Ore., on Jan. 26, at 2 p.m.

Jason was born in Quinlan, Texas on March 26, 1980. Soon after, he and his family moved to Prineville, Ore., where he grew up and attended school. He eventually moved to Branson, Mo., and worked in the custodial field for a number of years. After moving to Portland, Jason married Monica Heusel on Aug. 13, 2004 and were together for eight years.

Jason enjoyed camping, fishing, collecting “Taz” memorabilia and spending time with his nephews and nieces.

Jason is survived by his mother, Trudi Gascon; his wife, Monica Heusel; his two brothers, Melvin Beitz, III, and Brent Beitz; as well as five nieces, six nephews, and other family and friends.

Jason is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Beitz, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, there will be donation containers available in Prineville, Bend, and Redmond, as well as at the gathering. We also welcome any snack trays, drinks, or anything else you may think of.

The family of Jason Duane Beitz would like to thank Victor Gulliani of Christmas Valley, Ore., and Pastor Matt Huff and everyone who has even so much as sent a text to see how everyone is doing.
