John Scott Michel

John Scott Michel, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013. John was born Jan. 15, 1950, and he attended school in Crook County, graduating from Crook County High School in 1968.

John married Janet Elaine (Smith) on Nov. 27, 1970 and together they raised two sons.

He loved spending time with his wife, sons, and grandchildren. He enjoyed any outdoor activities, especially camping with his family; he also enjoyed reading and traveling.

He worked for many years at Clear Pine Moulding and later worked driving truck for Floyd A. Boyd of Madras where he retired in 2012.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janet Michel; sons, Scott and Seth (Sheila) Michel; granddaughters, Courtney, Tiffany, and Emily Michel; grandsons, Kyler and Eric Michel; and great-grandson Bentley, all of Prineville; sister, Heather (Darryl) Jones of Keizer, Ore.; brothers, Robert and Alan of Prineville. Also many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Maisie Michel.

There will be no service at his request. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
