Allyn Mae Grimes TomlinsonJanuary 31, 2013 Allyn Mae Grimes Tomlinson, 85, passed away Jan. 24, 2013 in Prineville, Ore. A celebration of Life will be held at the Eastside Church in Prineville on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 from 1-3 p.m. Allyn Mae was born Dec. 14, 1927 in Prineville, Ore. to Fred and Leatha (Roberts) Grimes. Allyn Mae attended school and graduated from Crook County High in 1946. On Sept. 8, 1945 she married Emery Tomlinson in Prineville, Ore. Allyn Mae was an active business partner with her husband in his many business ventures in the wood products industry. Their successful business projects started with logging in Southern Oregon and continued into several locations in Oregon and continued into Wyoming. After her husband’s death, Allyn Mae returned to Prineville. She enjoyed photographing and recording family events highlighted her life. She leaves a legacy in scrapbooks and photo albums. Her devotion to her parents, her siblings, her children, her grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews was a mark of the character that made her a beloved member of her family and her faithful friends. She is survived by her brother, Jay Grimes of Prineville; and a nephew-in-law, Ed Greef of Montana; grandchildren, Justin Tomlinson, Erica Tomlinson, Amber Tomlinson, and Amy Jo Tomlinson; 10 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Allyn Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Letha Grimes, sister, Edna Demaris, brother, Jerry Grimes, her husband, Emery Tomlinson, son, Eric Tomlinson and a daughter, Jan Tomlinson.
