High School principal candidate finalists for CCHS at open house Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

Community members are invited to provide feedback

The Crook County School District (CCSD) Board of Directors has selected three finalist candidates in the search for a new high school principal to replace Rocky Miner, who will be retiring after 36 years in education. Public meetings will take place on Monday, Feb. 11, Tuesday, Feb. 12, and Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Crook County High School library.

Community members and staff are encouraged to attend and provide feedback about the candidates to the CCSD Board of Directors.

The finalists are Rise' Hawley, the current interim Principal of East Jackson Comprehensive High School, in Jefferson, Ga. He was previously Assistant Superintendent and Director of Academics for six years at Jackson County Schools in Jefferson, Ga.

Mark Hebert is the current Principal and Charter Representative in a Career-Technical medical arts magnet school in West Phoenix, Ariz.

Michelle Jonas is the current Vice Principal of Crook County High School for the last four years. Prior to this assignement, Ms. Jonas served as the Dean of Students for Crook County Middle School.
