Ski team struggles

The Crook County High School cross country ski team continues to struggle to field a complete squad.

Just three skiers competed for the team last Saturday as they raced in the Guy Mattioda Memorial race at Walt Haring Sno Park.

The lone Cowboy to ski in the race was Braden Swensen, who finished 40th with a time of 29:59.

Mountain View’s Sam King won the five kilometer race with a time of 16:42.

Rylie Nikolaus of Mountain View won the girls race with a time of 20:44.

Crook County’s Hanna Hamlin was 56th with a time of 32:24 while Bethany Johnson finished 60th with a time of 36:57.
