Gerald Howard Michael, a Prineville resident passed away on Friday, Feb., 22, 2013 at St. Charles Medical Center of Prineville. He was 79 years old.

Gerald was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Sept. 17, 1933 to Howard and Hazel Michael (Atkins). He married his wife, Carol on Dec. 1, 1951 in Redwood City, Calif.

He was a proud Marine and a Korean War vet who loved family, fishing, camping, and his church.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Carol, son David, daughter Karen, and daughter Denise (Bill) along with five siblings.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Prineville. A private inurnment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of Prineville Funeral Home.
