District election informationMarch 12, 2013 March 21 is the last day for a candidate to file or for a measure to be filed with the County Clerk. The list of district positions open for the May District Election is available on the County Clerk’s page at www.co.crook.or.us. April 30 is the last day for all new Oregon voters to register for the May 21 District Election. Registration cards that are postmarked April 30 are valid registration for the election. Election Day, May 21, 2013, is the last day for registered voters to update voter information such as residential address and/or mailing address.The election will be a vote-by-mail election. They will begin mailing ballots to registered voters on May 3. There will be a public certification test of our optical scan vote counting system on Tuesday, May 14, at 10 a.m. in the County Clerk’s office, 300 NE Third Street, Prineville. This test is conducted prior to each election. Official Ballot drop-site locations are printed on the flap of the secrecy envelopes and are posted on the County Clerk’s page of the Crook County website, www.co.crook.or.us.
